The Saudi Government has authorized the Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, or his representative, to discuss with the British side a draft cooperation agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland in the energy field, to sign it, and then upload the final signed copy, to complete the regular procedures.
The Council approved in its session today, Tuesday, in video communication, chaired by the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the authorization of the Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Muhammad Al-Jadaan, or his representative, to sign a draft agreement between The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh On cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, then submit the final signed copy, to complete the procedures.
Formation of a bankruptcy commission
The Board approved the reform of the Bankruptcy Committee, for a period of (three) years, by each of: Badr bin Abdul Mohsen bin Hadab, Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Zughaibi, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mughamis, Sheikh Abdullah bin Adnan Al Sulaimi and Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Duhaim.
The Council of Ministers was instead informed on the results of the seventh summit of the heads of the parliaments of the member states of the Group of Twenty, held in the Italian capital, Rome, to intensify efforts to build and protect human beings, achieving sustainable development, preserving the achievements of the global economy and fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the peoples.
In his statement to the Saudi news agency, the minister of state, member of the Council of Ministers and minister in charge of information, dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeed, said the Council discussed the results of the Kingdom’s participation in the meetings held within the framework of the work of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly and its commitment to joint cooperation and support Humanitarian and development efforts, improving the stability and balance of global oil markets, as well as contributing to the achievement of global goals to combat climate change, through qualitative initiatives, in particular (Green Arabia Saudi), (Green Middle East) and (Circular Carbon Economy).
The Council considered that the Kingdom’s victory at the presidency of the associations and federations of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a new success that adds to the series of achievements in this field, and reflects its prestige and appreciation internationally.
The Board noted the launch of the National Investment Strategy, one of the key enablers to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, including the development of investment opportunities in promising economic sectors, the improvement of the business environment, the strengthening of its attractiveness and competitiveness and the increase in the effectiveness of partnership between the public and private sectors. Which helps to maximize the benefit of what God has endowed this country with, from a distinct strategic position, leading investment power, and Arab and Islamic depth.
The Cabinet was briefed on the items on the agenda, including the topics that the Shura Council participated in its studio, including the approval of the postal system and the approval of the continuation of the General Transport Authority in the procedures of moving and housing its employees on the new scale.
