And the name of Leopold Luque, the personal physician of Maradona, is among the eight accused, in addition to his psychiatrist Agustina Kosachov, according to the investigators, the medical staff did not provide assistance to Maradona, who paid in state of disability, and left him to his fate. All have denied the charges and, if convicted, face up to 25 years in prison. Maradona died at the age of 60 on 25 November 2020, in a private home in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, a few weeks after undergoing brain surgery.
