The Turkish lira fell by around 2.5% on Thursday, following the rise of the previous day, as fears of high inflation continued due to unconventional policies aimed at boosting exports and growth.
The lira stood at 13.62 against the dollar at 06:10 GMT, in down from 13.2890 at the close of the previous day.
The Turkish currency rose about 4.7%, to 13.15 in late Wednesday.
The lira lost 44% of its value against the dollar last year.
