The UAE issues the first batch of federal treasury bills on May 9th

The UAE Ministry of Finance said on Thursday that the UAE intends to issue the first batch of federal treasury bills on May 9, in cooperation with the central bank, in a move aimed at developing a bond market in local currency.

The ministry added that the central bank will be an issuing and paying agent.

The ministry said on April 20 that it plans to raise nine billion dirhams ($ 2.45 billion) through eight bond offers in the period from May to the end of the year, and with issues for terms between two, three and five years. as a first stage, up to ten years in media.
