The US plans to release about 15 million barrels of oil from the strategic reserve

The US media have revealed that the US plans to release another 10-15 million barrels of oil from the strategic reserve.

Yesterday, Monday, Bloomberg journalist Jennifer Jacobs said on her Twitter page that the administration of US President Joe Biden intends to take this measure in order to “maintain a balance in the market and prevent gasoline prices from rising.”

The President of the United States announced on March 31 that the United States will release one million barrels of oil per day from its strategic national reserve for 6 months to lower the price of gasoline in the country.

At the same time, the US Department of Energy will use proceeds from the sale of oil from the reserve to purchase and renew energy resources in the coming years.

By the end of October, it was planned to release 180 million barrels of oil, but, according to the latest data, the authorities sent only 155 million barrels to the market.
