The US Treasury has announced its designation of an “international oil smuggling and money laundering network” affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards on the terrorist list.
The Treasury said in a statement that the international network has worked to “facilitate the sale of Iranian oil” and benefit from its millions of revenues, in favor of financing the Revolutionary Guards and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia. The Treasury reaffirmed America’s commitment to hold the Iranian government regime accountable for its destabilization and security in Middle East.
