The ‘Washington Post’ has revealed that ‘Twitter’ has seen hundreds of resignations from the company, after its new owner, Elon Musk, asked employees to increase working hours.
The newspaper claimed that Twitter is located in a critical situation, amid questions about its ability to continue operating.

“Politicians, governments and embassies are preparing for the worst if Twitter is temporarily down. The site’s sensitive systems are vulnerable to resignation issues,” he said.
Twitter continues to lose engineers and other workers, after its new owner, Elon Musk, gives them the opportunity to engage in a “hard” job or resign with a severance pay.
Some employees have turned to the dei platform social media to announce their resignations after Musk’s deadline for the pledge.
Others have gone in a private forum to discuss their plans to leave the company, asking questions about how their U.S. visas would be at risk or whether they would receive their promised severance pay, according to an employee who was laid off earlier this week.
The employee spoke to the Associated Press in condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.
While it’s unclear how many Twitter employees resigned due to Musk’s offer, the latest round of departures means the platform continues to shed staff as it prepares to face the pressure from the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The World Cup is one of the busiest events on Twitter.”
Since his takeover of Twitter less than three weeks ago, Musk has laid off half of the company’s 7,500 full-time employees and the countless contractors responsible for content moderation and other vital efforts. He fired top executives on his first day as Twitter owner, while others voluntarily left in the following days.
Earlier in the week, Musk began firing a small group of engineers who debated with him either publicly or via the company’s internal messaging system Slack.
