The Witcher’s Netflix stunt outtakes are awesome – sometimes in the truest sense of the word
There are some shows and films where you just say, “Man, that had to be fun working on this set.” Well, this series of stunt outtakes from Netflix’s The Witcher, with all the wires and flying bodies and directors to which one counts down action time is the embodiment of it.
Lucy Unger of The Witcher’s stunt team posted this role on YouTube. There is a lot of downtime, carefree outtakes – the Striga Moonwalking and Pop-Locking for example – but you can also see people jumping up a hill from trampolines, being torn into the air by a belt and staggering. They are melted by the fire before the post production gets the finishing touch.
Here’s another, shorter montage of heavy action scenes Unger released on YouTube at the time The Witcher premiered.

Then there is the actual pyrotechnics, in which the balsa wood bursts, while stunt people fly through the air and various production assistants with hoods are available with the fire extinguishers. So fun. I envy the people who had to work on this picture.
Okay, maybe I don’t envy the guy who has aluminum foil on his head and catches fire. It is definitely a working day. But it’s all just a funny look behind the scenes when people sell you entertainment as hard as any pro wrestler.
