The cryptocurrency “Bitcoin” recovered in trading on Tuesday, after yesterday plunging nearly 10% to its lowest level since July 2021 at around $ 30,000, continuing its decline for the fifth consecutive session.
The world’s largest cryptocurrency has plummeted about 19% since early May and has lost more than half of its value since it hit an all-time high of $ 69,000 in November last year.
Yesterday, “Ether”, the second largest cryptocurrency, fell to $ 2,245, the lowest level since last January.
In terms of trading over the past 14 sessions, the combined market value of cryptocurrencies declined by 27.3%, losing around $ 525.4 billion, after their total market value dropped from the $ 190.5 billion level to around $ 1395.1 billion in trading on Monday.
