The Yemeni army liberates military sites north of Lahj

Today, Thursday, the Yemeni armed forces announced the liberation of a number of military bases in the northern Lahj Governorate in the south of the country.

The Yemeni Army’s media center quoted a military source as saying that “the national army has thwarted an attack by the Houthi militia on a military base on the Eastern Front in Al-Qubaytah district on the administrative borders of Taiz Governorate.”

He added that the army soldiers “launched a counterattack in which they were able to free Tabab al-Karab overlooking the Al-Mughniyah area near the strategic Jabal Jalis”.

The source said the fighting resulted in the death and injury of at least 15 members of the Houthi coup militia, along with other equipment losses.

He stated that the army had recovered a range of light weapons and various ammunition.

In addition, dozens of members of the Houthi militia were killed and wounded during fighting on the Maqabneh front, west of Taiz governorate, on Thursday.

A field source said National Army forces thwarted an attack by the Houthi militia in Jabal Al-Oudin, Al-Matahen and Al-Tatar Al-Ula in an unsuccessful way to regain what they had lost.

The source confirmed that at least 36 members of the Houthi militia were killed and dozens injured in the clashes on the Maqabneh front, according to the Taiz Military Axis Media Center.

He stated that the armed forces were able to capture a number of militiamen and salvage a number of light and medium weapons.

National Army forces also launched a violent attack on the Houthi coup militia in the Zubaira region in the isolation of Quds south of Taiz Governorate.
