The zoom of the Galaxy S21 Ultra skills make it a Photography Sample

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra occupies a prime position at the head of the company’s lineup of mobile devices for the year 2021. It shouldn’t be a surprise that it has a long list of top-notch specs, such as a powerful processor and 5G connectivity that is faster than light. It is Samsung’s response to the flagship iPhone 12 Pro Max that Apple has released.

The camera’s configuration, on the other hand, is several feet off. On the back of the camera are four lenses, including a standard zoom lens, an ultrawide lens, a lens with a 3x optical zoom, and a lens with a 10x optical zoom. The primary camera on the phone has a massive resolution of 108 megapixels, which allows the device to achieve an incredible overall zoom of 100 times. (All of the brand new Galaxy S21 Ultra camera features and instructions for using them are included in this article.)

To summarize, zoom is the most important factor in this scenario. The phone’s ability to take sharp photos with a 10x optical zoom means that it can get images that aren’t possible on competing flagships such as the iPhone 12 Pro or the OnePlus 9 Pro. While the results at 100x are still poor, the phone’s ability to take sharp photos with a 100x digital zoom is excellent. You can also compare the S21 Ultra to the iPhone 12 Pro Max in our shootout.

Despite the fact that I would have liked the Galaxy S21 Ultra to have more standout features, what is included is still quite impressive. And I went all over to test the phone’s capabilities in various locations.

The standard camera on the phone was able to capture a scene that was vibrant and full of color, with an abundance of detail on the first floor, despite the fact that it was very shaded.

When you zoom out to the extremely wide view, there is very little discernible change in the colors, except a hint of magenta in the upper right corner. The shot is beautifully composed, and there is a wealth of detail present across the board.

When viewed at a magnification of three times, the clock tower looks crisp and colorful.

The image retains all of its original color and detail, as well as a pleasing contrast, even when magnified ten times its original size.

When viewed at a 30x zoom, things don’t appear to be in very good shape. There is a general lack of definition, even though it is clear what the photo is of. When zoomed in this far, it can be difficult to get your shot lined up properly, but Samsung has a smart stabilization mode that assisted me in keeping the entire watch face within the frame of my photo.

When viewed at his maximum 100x zoom, these details are uniformly more blurry, resulting in an image that is just really good as proof of something you’ve seen, like uncommon wildlife. The majority of users may find that the image quality is not quite up to par for posting on social media platforms like Instagram, even though it is a unique feature that can be entertaining to experiment with.

My main complaint about the S21 Ultra Ultra camera is the 10x optical zoom, which is also my favorite feature of the device. It gives you the ability to capture photographic compositions that, in order to be achieved with a digital SLR camera, would require a large telephoto zoom lens. When I zoomed in on this beach, I was able to clearly show walkers, who add astounding scale to the image, as well as the bending water and the concrete breakers that extended over the scene.

In this particular instance, I was able to pack a lot more of the dramatic view of the college slices into the frame.

This shot overlooking a golf course isn’t all that exciting because it was taken with the default zoom setting on the camera.

But turning on the 10-times zoom completely changes the view, making the skyline of Edinburgh stand out and making it possible to make out the buildings on Calton Hill.

When you increase the size of the image by ten times and zoom in to 100%, it’s clear that very few details were captured. In all likelihood, the images captured with a 10x zoom will not be of a high enough quality to be printed. At least for the time being, the best way to get high-resolution zoom images is to use a digital SLR with a telephoto lens. Having said that, the majority of the pictures I took with a 10x zoom were good enough to share on social media or to send to friends via text message. These are the kinds of things that probably matter for the vast majority of the things that anyone wants to do with their pictures anyway.

With the 10x zoom, it was easy to make out the details on this plane as it approached the runway.

And it was the 10x zoom that made it possible for me to separate this couple from other elements in the scene that could have been distracting, which resulted in a shot that focuses only on watching them from a distance.

Again, if you crop the image to 100%, you can see that there aren’t many small details when you look at it at this level of magnification.

I’m astounded at how vibrant and full-bodied the resulting image is because the extremely wide-angle lens captures so much of the scene.

Even though this photograph of a cannon has a good overall exposure, there is a significant amount of shadow detail on the gun itself. The sky has been checked to ensure that it is bright.

After turning on the phone’s night mode, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still able to produce a bright and clear image despite being in a dimly lit room. The colors are true to life, and there is enough detail to be able to read even the smallest writing on the candle.

These are the first few days that I have had the phone, but already I am impressed with the shots that I have managed to get. The majority of the photographs that I have taken have an excellent dynamic range and accurate colors. The zoom feature is the best thing about this app, but it’s only good up to a certain point. Some of the pictures are amazing, and I took them with a 10x zoom, but in this case, the details aren’t very accurate. Going beyond 10 times reduces that amount by an enormous amount, and I still believe the 100x space enlargement feature is useless. I would have preferred Samsung to spend its time improving the 10x zoom instead of the 100x space enlargement feature.
