This Lakers-Spurs trade features an intriguing return for Kyle Kuzma

The Los Angeles Lakers entered the offseason as NBA champions. They did not sit on their hands and expect to win another one so easily. Early on, they are the favors to repeat but this is because I moved they made in the offseason.

The Lakers knew that they had to improve the backcourt, especially the point guard position. They did this by making a trade for Dennis Schroder with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Lakers moved to the front court before they signed Montrezl Harrell to come off the bench. They are new additions have been part of the reason why they are so successful once again.

Along the perimeter, Kyle Kuzma has been a trade piece for many years but nothing has happened. He signed an extension in the offseason but that does not mean that he is completely safe.

This is where the San Antonio Spurs might come in to play. The Spurs are a team looking to get back to the postseason after a one-year hiatus. They have a franchise player in Dejounte Murray to build around.

San Antonio has been featured in NBA trade rumors because they have veteran players, such as a DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge, who could be on the move with the deadline. If the Spurs are interested in Kuzma, they could send another intriguing package to the Lakers.
