To the via tomorrow the conference on the future of aviation in Saudi Arabia

Tomorrow, Monday, Saudi Arabia will host the three-day “Conference on the Future of Aviation”, organized by the General Civil Aviation Authority, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, under the patronage of the King Keeper of the Two Holy Mosques Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The president of the General Civil Aviation Authority, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, said the conference is a qualitative and unique international event in the civil aviation sector, in what constitutes an opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas and learn about best experiences and practices, to keep up with the rapid developments in the aviation market.

He stressed that the conference is a tributary of the achievement of national goals in the development of resources and capabilities, citing the Saudi news agency “SPA” today, Sunday.

The chairman of the General Civil Aviation Authority said the conference constitutes a major turning point in the civil aviation sector locally and internationally in view of its results, in in particular, the announcement of the authority’s initiative to unify procedures and policies relating to health requirements to support the recovery of the sector from the emerging coronavirus pandemic.

He revealed that the conference will witness billions of deals, the first of their kind of this size, in more than fifty agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed, as well as the launch of a series of important policies and strategies for the civil aviation sector, and the signing of a large number of partnerships between the government and the private sector.

Abdulaziz Al-Duailej said the conference received a large and important global response due to the Kingdom’s political and economic weight and an influential strategic position in the civil aviation and air transport sector, where the number of participating countries has reached 60, while the number of participants reached 2,000, while the number of registered participants exceeded 4000 registered.

The conference on the future of aviation focuses on three main themes: “Innovation, growth and sustainability as key and influential axes in the civil aviation sector”.

The conference achieves one of the objectives of the civil aviation sector strategy enacted by the National Strategy for Transportation and Logistics Services to become an integrated and unique global conference offering huge investment opportunities worth $ 100 billion, leveraging the distinct strategic position of the Kingdom between the three continents of the world. This increases its attractiveness as a global logistics platform, making the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a hub for global aviation, reaching 330 million passengers from over 250 destinations worldwide and reaching 4.5 million tons of freight by 2030.
