The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, announced a travel ban for all UAE citizens who are not vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine, starting January 10.
And as reported by the official news agency “WAM”, the step is in in line with the vision of the state in the recovery phase from the Covid-19 pandemic and strengthening national efforts in all sectors, in light of the global epidemiological situation. and the current high injury rate, and with the aim of preserving the health and safety of UAE citizens.
The ministry also stressed the obligation to obtain the support dose for vaccinated citizens of the country, according to the national protocol for support doses to allow them to travel.
The categories excluded from this decision have also been identified, in what allows the travel of unvaccinated citizens of groups excluded from the medical point of view from taking the vaccine, in addition to humanitarian and treatment cases.
The importance of following preventive and precautionary measures for all travelers, investigating the epidemiological situation in travel destinations and communicating with diplomatic representations in the country was stressed. in case of suspected infection.
This underscores the priority of health and safety for rational leadership and the state’s proactive efforts to address the Covid-19 crisis.
