Tuchel puts the new Mahrez to the test ahead of the German Clasico

Younes Ait Amer, a young Algerian midfielder, received a morale boost by being called up to participate in the first training session with new Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel in preparation for the El Clasico match against Borussia Dortmund. Ait Amer, nicknamed the successor of Riyad Mahrez, impressed during a Tuesday group exercise and won the confidence of Tuchel. He was picked among the top talents of the youth sector of the club to make up for the absence of international players and to test the gems qualified for the upcoming El Clasico match.

Tuchel took over as coach of Bayern Munich after Julian Nagelsmann was sacked for disappointing results, which led to the loss of leadership in Bundesliga. Tuchel is determined to win the trust and hearts of the fans at the beginning of his experience with the team, and also to restore leadership in the German championship. Ait Amer, aged 19, is one of the discoveries of the Uhasheng Club and moved on to the Bayern Munich academy in 2017. His future has been secured until 2025 after impressing with his physical, technical, and tactical abilities. Ait Amer has the flexibility to play in all attacking midfield positions but usually plays in the right or left wing of the attack.

Although the German Federation tried to secure Ait Amer’s representation for their youth teams, he preferred to represent the desert warriors. He is now regarded as one of the most promising faces of the Under 20 youth team.
