Tunisia’s budget deficit approaches 10 billion dinars

A presidential decree published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia on Wednesday reported that the state budget deficit is close to 10 billion dinars (about 3.2 million euros).

Decree No. 69 amending the 2022 Finance Law was published in the Official Gazette in its latest version.

And according to an official document, state budget revenues for 2022 were estimated at 41.13 billion dinars (12.8 million euros).

It turned out that the state budget expenditures amounted to 50.914 billion Tunisian dinars (15.6 million euros).

The decree indicated that the state budget was experiencing a deficit of 9.784 billion dinars (about 3.2 million euros).

The Council of Ministers, meeting on Tuesday, November 15 at the Government Palace in the Kasbah under the leadership of Prime Minister Naglaa Budin, approved a draft decree amending the Finance Law for 2022.
