Turkey’s energy ministry said Thursday that electricity cuts have hit some industrial plants in the country due to gas cuts from Iran.
A technical failure interrupted the supply of natural gas from Iran to Turkey.

Officials indicated that the authorities had asked natural gas distributors to reduce supplies to 60% for large consumers, except those used for heating.
Officials confirmed that hospitals and schools would be exempted from the decision to reduce supplies.
