Two pilots killed in a plane crash in India

Two pilots died in India after a fighter jet crashed during a training flight, the aviation said, adding to safety concerns after a series of similar incidents.

The Defense Ministry said the MiG-21 crashed Thursday night in the western Rajasthan desert near the town of Barmer.

The crash is the sixth that the MiG-21 has wanted since January 2021, with five pilots killed.

The Indian Air Force said the training plane “had an accident” and an investigation was ordered to determine the cause of the crash.
