Ubisoft Clarifies: No Plans for Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC, Creative Director Confirms

Ubisoft has no plans for Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC, says Creative Director

According to the game’s creative director, Stéphane Boudon, Ubisoft currently has no intention of releasing any downloadable content (DLC) or providing extensive post-launch support for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This information was revealed during a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session.

About Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is being developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, the same studio responsible for the successful Wrath of the Druids expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The game aims to pay homage to the original Assassin’s Creed by focusing on parkour, stealth, and assassinations, bringing back the action-adventure style of the earlier entries in the series before the more expansive RPG-style games like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.

Release Date and Ubisoft’s Future Plans

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled to launch on October 12, 2023, for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Ubisoft has also shared its future roadmap for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, revealing that the next two flagship games, codenamed Red and Hexe, will be part of the new Infinity franchise hub. This live service initiative was announced in 2021.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red

The next game in the series, codenamed Red, is being developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the same studio behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Red will mark the beginning of what Ubisoft refers to as “period three” in the Assassin’s Creed series. Since its launch in 2007, the franchise has sold over 200 million copies worldwide, making it a highly successful venture for its publisher.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Beta

In related news, Ubisoft has announced that a beta version of Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade will be launched for Android and iOS on August 3.
