Ukraine receives French long-range missile systems

Ukraine announced on Tuesday that it had received missile launch systems from France, adding to its arsenal of long-range artillery, which is credited with changing the course of the war waged by Russia.

The army is stronger now.

“The missile launchers from France have arrivedin Ukraine. The Ukrainian military is now stronger,” he wrote in a tweet Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.

The launchers supplied by France are the fourth advanced missile launch system, after Himars, M270 and Mars 11, to be delivered to Ukraine to help Kiev in the war against Russia.

The range of these launchers is about 70 km.

Hit the command posts

Furthermore, in recent months, Ukraine has used Western-supplied systems to strike command centers and munitions depots in areas controlled by Russian forces, farther than its arsenal allows.

Kiev wants more long-range weapons to maintain battlefield advances and air defense systems to counter Russian bombing operations.

Delivery of two missile launchers

Two weeks ago, the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Sebastien Lecorno, announced the delivery of two French missile launchers to Ukraine, in an interview with the newspaper “Le Journal du Dimanche”.

Locorno said France would send two batteries of the Crotal air defense system and was “studying a request from Ukraine for radars needed to monitor attacks near their source”.

France also plans to train 2,000 of the 15,000 soldiers the European Union has promised to train.
