Ukrainian cities drowning in darkness… and Russian bombing of Kyiv and Kherson

Field sources in Ukraine reported that drones bombed sites in the capital, Kiev, at dawn on Friday, and several explosions were heard, while anti-aircraft missiles were launched to repel the attack.

Air defense systems were also activated in a Kherson region in the prime hours of this morning, amid the news that at least three explosions were heard.

Power outages at low temperatures

In context, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that most regions of his country are suffering from power outages due to a significant drop in temperatures after the rocket attacks that hit all parts of the country.

Zelinsky also spoke of the difficult situation on the Bakhmut and Solidar fronts north of Donetsk, indicating that Russian forces are trying to seize the Donetsk region before the new year.

New British military equipment

In addition, Britain has sent new military equipment to Ukraine, including bomb and mine defusers, to help it clear land and buildings of unexploded ordnance and missiles left behind by Russian bombing.

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace had announced that his country had allocated two billion seven hundred and seventy million dollars from the budget for next year to help Ukraine militarily.
