Ukrainian president: 4,500 Russian soldiers have been killed so far

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that 4,500 Russian soldiers have been killed so far.

Zelensky asked the European Union to allow Ukraine to join immediately under a special procedure while defending itself from Russian forces.

“Our goal is to be with all Europeans and, above all, to be equal,” he said in a video recording broadcast on social media. “I’m sure this is justice. I trust we deserve it.”

In the recording, the Ukrainian president appealed to Russian soldiers, saying: “Save your life and go”.

The Ukrainian president also urged the European Union to “immediately” include his country in the bloc, as the Russian attack on the pro-Western country entered its fifth day.

“We appeal to the European Union to immediately include Ukraine in the European Union through a new special procedure . Our goal is to be together on the side of all Europeans and, above all, to be on an equal footing. I’m sure that it is so right and possible, “Zelensky said.
