Marvel’s upcoming Uncanny Avengers series will feature Alex Ross’ connecting artwork, which homages Jim Lee’s iconic X-Men #1 cover. The artwork will be featured in various Avengers and X-Men titles throughout 2023, beginning with August 2023’s Uncanny Avengers #1, and will include popular mutant characters such as Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Gambit. Ross’ connecting variant featuring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will also be released alongside the Uncanny Avengers variant. Alongside the announcement of the artwork, Marvel also announced the debut of the new Uncanny Avengers team, which will appear at the X-Men’s third annual Hellfire Gala before getting its own series from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Javier Garrón.
