UNESCO commends Kingdom for e-learning governance

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has praised the Kingdom’s achievements in the field of e-learning governance, through its published book on “Guide to Policies and Master Plans for information and communication technology organizations in education”, which indicated that the National Center for e-Learning is an example to follow in the world. Through its support and development of governance procedures in the education and e-training sector. In its book, UNESCO cited the Kingdom’s model for quality control of e-learning learning and building confidence in it, through the standard of e-learning launched by the National Center for e-learning for educational institutions in public and higher education and training bodies. The book also touches on the mechanisms used for the governance of e-learning, during which it reference to the Kingdom’s efforts as a qualitative model with a number of leading countries in this sense.

In the fifth chapter of the book, UNESCO referred to the standard of excellence prepared and developed by the National Center for E-Learning in collaboration with a number of prestigious international organizations, as a leading international model contributing to the development of quality control and assurance mechanisms to ensure the quality of educational resources, due to the comprehensiveness of such standard for electronic platforms: e-learning programs, courses with mass enrollment, distance education via television, enhanced and engaging teaching and learning, open educational resources and e-assessment.

Interestingly, e-learning in the Kingdom has been praised by many reputable international educational organizations for the speed of transformation in it as a strategic choice for the future, for innovative solutions aiming to provide it with high efficiency, for high satisfaction rates with it by the employees of the Kingdom education system, for the availability of the technical and human infrastructures and for the standard fixed. To control the quality of its outputs and improve its competitiveness, the Kingdom is among the best 4 international models in the field of e-learning.

This represents an extension of the support and attention received by the sector from the wise leadership and skills that have been provided to develop education and ensure the quality of its outcomes. , to obtain access to reliable and accessible e-learning for all , through effective governmental coordination, and the implementation of numerous initiatives that contribute to the development of this sector and the achievement of its objectives in support of the indications of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 .
