The UAE has announced the establishment of a $ 10 billion fund to support investments in Turkey.
This announcement comes, according to the Emirates news agency, today, Wednesday, after talks that took place between the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to strengthen support for the economy and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The fund will focus on strategic investments, in particularly in the logistics sectors, including energy, health and food.
On the other hand, a Turkish official said today, Wednesday, ahead of the high-level talks in Ankara, that Turkey and the UAE will conclude agreements in the fields of energy, technology investments, seaports and logistics, according to “Reuters”.
The Turkish official said memoranda of understanding will be signed between the Abu Dhabi government-owned holding company, the Turkish Sovereign Wealth Fund and the Investment Office of the Turkish Presidency and other Turkish companies.
