United Nations: 101 people evacuated from Mariupol

The United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine, Osnat Lubrani, said on Tuesday that the organization managed to evacuate about 101 people from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupl.

Lubrani said, in a statement, that most of them arrived in the city of Zaporizhia, where they receive humanitarian aid, “after leaving the trenches under the Azovstal plant and seeing the light after two months”.

The International Committee of the Red Cross, also involved in the evacuation, issued a parallel statement in which states that “some of them were injured”.
