Alligator Loki Makes His Marvel Comics Debut

Alligator Loki will be featured in a one-shot comic by writer Alyssa Wong and artist Bob Quinn. Additionally, Alligator Loki will also be starring in his own Infinity Comic, which is now available to read on the Marvel Unlimited app. The comic book publisher has teased that Alligator Loki will be creating trouble all across the Marvel Universe. The Alligator Loki one-shot comic will release on September 13, 2023.

Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino Create a New Horror Series for Image Comics

Image Comics has announced a new horror series, Tenement, by writer Jeff Lemire and artist Andrea Sorrentino. The 10-issue horror series will be set within the “Bone Orchard Mythos” universe. Lemire and Sorrentino’s Tenement is a claustrophobic tale of terror that follows seven residents in a building and reveals the dark secrets that bind them together. For fans who enjoy atmospheric horror, Tenement may be best described as Dario Argento’s Inferno meets Rosemary’s Baby. The first issue of Tenement is set to release on June 21, 2023.

Kickstarter Appoints New Head of Comics

Kickstarter has named Bryce Gold as the new head of comics for the company. Gold was formerly ComiXology Original’s head of content, and he will now be in charge of managing the comics category on Kickstarter. He will also be responsible for curating content and working with creators to grow the community. Skybound Entertainment has revealed new Walking Dead Deluxe connecting variant covers by artist Conor Hughes for the “Life Among Them” storyline. The covers will appear as variants for The Walking Dead Deluxe #67-72, which is written by Robert Kirkman, illustrated by Charlie Adlard, and colored by Dave McCaig. Amanda LaFranco, Skybound editor, says the new covers will capture the intensity of life on the road as the group pushes toward Washington D.C.

Mark Brooks Debuts New Corner Box Marvel Variants

Artist Mark Brooks has created new corner box variant covers for Marvel. The X-Men #24 cover, set to release on July 5, will feature Jean Grey, while the Avengers #3 cover, releasing July 26, will feature Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, such as Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Monica Rambeau, Thor, Hawkeye, Wonder Man, and Tigra. Brooks was inspired by the classic comic book tradition of the corner box, which provides a preview to tantalize readers. Dark Horse Books Expands Its Moebius Library

Dark Horse Books is set to publish the Moebius Library: The Major in English for the first time. The book was originally written by Jean “Moebius” Giraud, translated by Diana Schutz, and lettered by Adam Pruett. The lead character, Apocalypse, will team up with Genesis and more in this story. The one-shot will reveal the origin of Arakko and how Apocalypse’s own words might destroy him and the kingdom. The one-shot, written by Al Ewing, illustrated by Luca Pizzari, and with cover art by Pepe Larraz, is set to release on June 28, 2023.
