US inspectors have in plans to visit China to check US listed companies

As a sign of progress in negotiations to keep US stock markets open to Chinese companies, Beijing is discussing with US regulators how to allow a team of Public Company Accountability Oversight Board inspectors to visit China, with the aim of reviewing auditing and accounting procedures for the 261 Chinese companies listed in the United States.

According to people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg News, the move is intended to preserve these lists and re-launch new IPOs and could include raising issues such as quarantine requirements.

The negotiations gained in significance after the US Securities and Exchange Commission began publishing a tentative list of Chinese companies that are at risk of being withdrawn from the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq market unless China becomes compliant.
