US-Iran Trade in 2023: A Comprehensive Analysis of the First Four Months with $17.8 Million Exchange

Iran-US trade drops by 2% in 2023’s first four months: US Census Bureau

The US Census Bureau reported that trade between Iran and the US in the first four months of this year was $17.8 million.

In its latest report, the US Census Bureau announced that trade exchange between Iran and the United States for the first four months of this year was $17.8 million, down 2% from the same period last year.

Value of Goods Exchanged

Between January and April 2022, goods worth up to $18.2 million were exchanged between the two countries.

Increase in Value of US Exports to Iran

According to the report, the value of US exports to Iran increased by 29% from January to April 2023. In the first four months of 2022, goods worth $13.5 million were exported from America to Iran, and this amount rose to $17.5 million in the same period this year.

Decrease in Value of US Imports from Iran

But America’s imports from Iran in the first four months of 2023 decreased by 93%, amounting to $0.3 million.

Imports from Iran Last Year

The United States imported $4.7 million worth of goods from Iran between January and April last year.

Ranking of Iran as an Export Destination and Source of Goods

Iran ranks 172nd among export destinations to the United States in the four months of 2023 and 212th among sources of goods from other countries.
