Emma Raducanu’s history- make three weeks in New York has the ultimate fairytale ending when she defeated fellow teen Leylah Fernandez met 6-4 6-3 to win the US Open and become the British first female Grand Slam champion since 1977 – and the first qualification man of woman, to win a Grand Slam title.

Just a few of months ago, the 18-year-old one from Orpington had a remarkable A-Levels run – in a remarkable women’s tournament – that started in first round qualifying against Bibiane Schoofs on August 25 ended with hair lifting trophy without dropping one set in 10 matches and lose just 34 games.

The couple had met on one previous occasion, the junior Wimbledon second round three years ago where Raducanu had won in straight series.
