In Hajjah Governorate, northwestern Yemen, the observatory said the boy, Raed Dahmash Jarbahi (13), was seriously injured, after which his foot was amputated following the explosion of a Houthi mine in the village of Bani Faidi in the Hiran district.

The Houthi militia, the only one of the parties in conflict in Yemen uses mines in its war against Yemenis and has planted around two million mines since 2015 in different areas of the country, according to estimates by experts of mining conflicts, which have led to the death and injury of thousands of civilians.
