Wall Street climbs after strong US data

The major Wall Street indexes opened in rallied on Thursday after data showing a healthy job market and better-than-expected economic growth in the recent quarter helped ease fears of a severe recession, while upbeat outlooks from Tesla Inc bolstered sentiment.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 27.82 points, or 0.08%, to 33,771.66 points.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index opened up 19.86 points, or 0.49%, to 4,036.08 points, according to Reuters.

The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 145.05 points, or 1.28%, to register 11,458.41 points.
