Watch a fresh grudge trailer by John Cho in the shower for 27 seconds
There’s a new grudge movie that’s kind of a sequel, a kind of spin-off and a kind of remake of the original 2004 movie (which was a 2002 remake of Ju-On). More importantly, John Cho is in the 2020 version.
The latest trailer for the coarse-grained horror film with R rating shows John Cho in the shower for 27 seconds. There are also two minutes of other stuff, including a bloodied old lady, a rotten corpse, and a few weird ghosts. Let’s bypass all the horror movie stuff (and hey, those are spoilers anyway) and focus on this key scene of John Cho in the shower.
John Cho in the shower starts at 2:19. In fact, at this point in time, we do not really see much of John Cho in the shower, just the outline of his body and his strong arm grasping the rod (the shower rod, duh). At 02:25, viewers are invited into the shower to take a closer look at John Cho’s back and shoulders. He hears some scary sounds and rightfully decides to investigate by tearing the shower curtain at around 2:28. Now a wet, naked John Cho is standing on the edge of the shower, looking around for 12 seconds. At around 2:41, he returns to the water and enjoys his shower, although he is nervous because something scary is going on.
If you just want to enjoy John Cho in the shower with no scary moments, stop the trailer at 2:46. A second later, a rotting hand emerges from the back of his head.
To fully enjoy the showering experience of John Cho, try muting from 2:19 to 2:46 and playing a springy pop song in the background. Is John Cho poking his head out because his pizza delivery is here? Come, his romantic partner, to surprise him? The virtual possibilities are endless!
The Grudge comes out on January 3, 2020. It is not yet known how much more John Cho will see in the shower during the whole movie.
