Watford rejects Sarr in national team of Senegal

The Senegalese Football Association revealed on Sunday that the club of Watford, in competition in the English Premier League, refuses to allow Senegalese midfielder Ismail Sarr to join his country in the finals of the African Nations Cup, which will begin in Cameroon next Sunday, and indicated that Watford informed him last Friday that he would not allow Sarr to participate in the next African championship, while expectations are candidates for Senegal to compete vigorously for the title.

The Senegalese Football Association said in a declaration signed by its secretary general, Victor Sisese, that the club England justified his refusal to allow the player to join the national team on the basis of pretexts and reasons “false”.

The statement adds: The Senegalese federation responded directly to the confirmation of the player’s call-up and the need for the club to allow the player to enter in national no later than 3 January.
