You're right. Another change for the iPhone is here. About a month after iOS 16, Apple released iOS 16.1. It has a few changes and new features for iPhones that can use it (and iPads with iPadOS 16).
Here are the new things in iOS 16.1 and what they do.
Anyone who has access to the Shared Photo Library can add to, change, or remove photos from it. You can add pictures to the library right from your iPhone's camera, and you can also add images

Live Activities improve the Dynamic Island and lock screen of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. With Live Activities, your Dynamic Island and lock screen show notifications from third-party apps
With iOS 16.1, you can now use Apple Fitness Plus without an Apple Watch. If you have an iPhone 8 or later, you can use it to keep track of your fitness goals and progress.

In iOS 16.1, Apple made changing the wallpaper on your phone a little easier. From the Settings > Wallpaper menu, the option to add a new wallpaper is now more apparent, and you can swipe through the already existing wallpapers.
Lock screen Update
When you use the editing menu to change a screenshot, the delete, save, and copy options are now shown in a smaller menu across the top of your screen. Before, these options were at the bottom of the screen on your iPhone.
Apple also took care of a few bugs. Some deleted conversations would still appear in Messages, Dynamic Island content wouldn't show up when using Reachability, and CarPlay wouldn't connect when using a VPN app.
