Week 15 Fantasy Rankings PPR: Tight end

What a frustrating week for two of the tight ends we thought had such good matchups that they weren’t even sleepers: Jack Doyle and Vance McDonald. Our rankings in Week 15 TE PPR suggest that he is still worth Doyle, but McDonald may return to the free agent trash heap. David Djuku looks like a sure-fire game this week, but we might need to see McDonald as a warning to moderate TEs in very favorable matches.

Njoku faces the same fantasy-friendly Cardinals defense as McDonald’s. However, to be honest, Njoku is much more talented, only to play in three games this year and next to nothing on his return from a wrist injury in Week 14. We still like this week’s top goalkeeper pickup, if it’s available in your league, but obviously there is a risk.

WEEK 15 RATING NON REPORTS:
Quarterback | Running back Wide receiver Tight end D / ST | Kicker

If you don’t have one of the top tight ends this week, you might be worried about TE injuries. Gerald Everett (knee), Greg Olsen (pain), Evan Egram (foot), Ryan Griffin (ankle), Mark Andrews (knee / thigh), Noah Fant (foot) and Jared Cook. Three of their backups are worth replacing: Ian Thomas of Carolina, Kaden Smith of the Giants and Hayden Hurst of Baltimore. If you have any of these seven (or McDonald’s), it’s worth checking out these three along with Njoku on the resignation wire.

15 Weeks PPR: Running Back Wide Receiver

Apart from that, it’s a fairly regular week in tight ground. Austin Hooper will raise his concerns in a matchup with the 49ers, but Hooper’s sixth goal in Week 14 shows he’s healthy enough to influence the stretch (and if the Falcons are without Calvin Ridley, Hooper will is more important). There is an argument to be made for someone like Njoku to be broadcast over Hooper, but there is also enough argument to stick with your rope and not kick it out.

One last thing before you get to the rankings: Tyler Higbee looks more like an Arizona receiver in Week 13. He passed 100 yards again, this time against the Seahawks on Sunday night. He’ll make a good number if he gets a similar opportunity when the Rams travel to Dallas for Week 15.
