Week 16 Fantasy WR Rankings: Chris Godwin injury, Jaguars breakouts create more sleepers

Seriously, what were the chances before the season that Breshad Perriman would be in the top 10 in the WR WRR Weekend 16 rankings? A million to one looks a little tall, but … close, right? Well, thanks to injuries to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Perriman becomes the de facto second receiver for one of football’s happiest teams – in a favorable matchup – so here he is, of course, on the “start” side. starting or descending bubble.

It’s not the only surprise at our starter level. Chris Conley and Keelan Cole (@ Falcons) were impressed by the absence of DJ Chark (leg) and made another favorable match. Anthony Miller (vs. Chiefs) keeps getting goals and producing, Darius Slayton (@ Redskins) is a touchdown machine, and Terry McLaurin (vs. Giants) is suddenly good again. At least one of James Washington or Diontae Johnson (@ Jets) is a good bet to go this week as well. Throw in secondary skills like Mike Williams (vs. Raiders), DK Metcalf (vs. Cardinals) and Will Fuller (@ Buccaneers) in favorable races and you have plenty of options for your WR3 spots.

Quarterback | Running back Tight end D / ST | Kicker

Of course, there are always unfavorable matchups to go along with all the favors. John Brown (@ Patriots) gets Stephon Gilmore’s treatment, while Julian Edelman (against the bills) can see a lot of Tre’Davious White. Chances are, you will start both, but Brown is more risky. The Rams (@ 49ers) trio comes with the risks, but Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods are hard to sit by after watching how Julio Jones dug in until the 49ers exhausted defense last week.

The Jets’ up-and-down duo of Robby Anderson and Jamison Crowder (against the Steelers) will not be easy time and are likely to be so dangerous to play, as is Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham. Jr. vs. Ravens), but both are too talented to sit. Tarrell Williams (@ Chargers), Danny Amendola (@ Broncos) and Greg Ward (vs. Cowboys) are three of last week’s heroes who don’t expect to reproduce Week 15 appearances.

Seminar 16 Degrees PPR: Running Back Wide Receiver | Tight end

Perhaps the toughest call of the week is with Adam Thielen, who caught all three of his 27-yard field goals last week and is getting a statistically difficult matchup against the Packers on Monday night. Green Bay has allowed couples to get a pair of 100-yard receivers, but Thielen appears to be running less than 100 percent.

After all, there’s no shortage of options for your WR2 and WR3 spots, and you can drive yourself crazy by trying to find the perfect players. Before the games start, anything seems possible, but if you understand what your team needs most – a high ceiling or a high floor – and watch the weather, you will give yourself a chance.

Note: We’ll keep updating these rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest single player analysis.
