Week 17 Fantasy WR Rankings: A.J. Brown, Greg Ward Jr. we stand in front of favorable matchups

You probably didn’t start Steven Sims Jr. at fantasy football week 16, but the question for those of you playing in week 17 might be: “Should I start Sims now?” The answer is probably “no”, but in the bizzarro world that is fantasy football week 17, there is no doubt that picking up cables is too crazy to consider at least. And as I go a little further down the page, Greg Ward Jr. it’s a whole different story.

While we may know the answer to this at the beginning of the week, the biggest week 17 for fantasy owners is Chris Godwin’s health. It will probably be ruled out for the season, because why couldn’t it, but still – if you own Godwin, you certainly have the hope of playing. Assuming it comes out again, you can still count on Breshad Perriman and Justin Watson in a juicy fight with the Falcons.

WEEK 17 NOT RATING:
Quarterback | Running back Tight end D / ST | Kicker

The injury that could bring a new miss to Week 17 is Julian Edelman’s knee. The Pats still have playoff seeds to play, but they get the dolphins and Edelman has obviously had pain for the last two weeks. If Edelman was sitting, Mohamed Sanu, N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers would be on trend. Also watch out for D.J. Moore, who was shocked in Week 16 – the Panthers have no reason to sink him back.

So back to Sims and Ward – the Sims really looked legitimate in terms of goals and finding the end zone twice on Sunday (almost scoring a third time, too). But Washington faces a tough Dallas defense that could easily slow down freshman Dwayne Haskins. Ward, on the other hand, looks so talented, it’s a miracle that the Eagles didn’t use it until they were forced into it. But with Carson Wentz throwing him on the ball against the same defense of the Giants that made Sims look stupid, Ward could have a race day and is my favorite bed this week.

Week 16 taught us more. Play by A.J. Brown vs. Texans, because it’s just an absolute dig to make it look even better than a bad side. Be careful with the Seattle WRs – something strange is happening with this offense, and they are now without their best RBs. And if you’re looking for a non-Ward upside, it might come from Diontae Johnson, who looks like a big-play threat every time he touches the ball and will probably make it easier against Baltimore in Week 17 if the Ravens get some rest.

The final big question before checking out the sorting centers around DeVante Parker, who will match Stephon Gilmore in Week 17. Gilmore was once burned by John Brown for a long touchdown, but otherwise held Brown to four total goals. and only a long catch. Ryan Fitzpatrick will definitely force Parker on food, but if you have a safer option, you might be better off using it.

Note: We’ll keep updating these rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest changes.
