Week 17 QB Fantasy Rankings: Lamar Jackson Probably Sitting Out, Kyler Murray Injury Big Worries

Fantastic football events playing until Week 17 are always likely to meet some key players standing out, but they are rarely as transcendent as Lamar Jackson. After all, he’s made more fantasy points in 2019 than QB has made in just one season. With the Ravens locked in the first seed of the AFC, the concern for Jackson at Week 17 is very real (Robert Griffin III, anyone?).

There is another former Trophy Heisman winner who could be out of commission for a different reason in Week 17. Kyler Murray injured his four on Sunday and could not finish the game, instead watching Brett Hundley lead the Cardinals to a victory in Seattle. After the game, Kliff Kingsbury gave no prospects for the final week of the season. Arizona has no reason to promote it with its beginner, but for now we have left Murray and Jackson in our rankings so you know where they would rank if they were playing. If Jackson had sat, RG3 would have stayed somewhere around No. 20 against a tough Pittsburgh defense.

You can feel better in week 17 with most of the top generals because there are some good matches to take advantage of. Matt Ryan and Jameis Winston will have to go on and on against a bad secondary team. Dak Prescott should have lit up the Redskins’ defense like Daniel Jones. You don’t even have to worry about Russell Wilson against the 49ers, a defense that has been injured by injuries (though you could worry more about Russ since he did nothing against the Cardinals in Week 16).

If you’re looking for power this week, grab Drew Lock, the Broncos champion. A matchup with a weak Oakland secondary should have a good reputation for Lock and his powerful offensive weapons. You could also stream another rookie, Daniel Jones against the Eagles, after the young Duke had a huge game against Washington in Week 16.

The pairs of other QB states they attend are in Buffalo and Pittsburgh. The accounts are already locked in Seed No. 5 of the AFC so that players can rest. And the Steelers (though hopefully not relying on their backbacks) may have a decision to make on the QB if Mason Rudolph is healthy enough to challenge Devlin Hodges.

Note: These rankings will be updated throughout the week, including if there are news of other players outside, so check back for player movement.
