Pokemon Go will receive Therian Formes with Season of Legends in March 2021.

What are Therian forms in Pokemon?

A nice feature in Pokemon Black and White was an extensive weather and season system. To take advantage of this, developer Game Freak introduced three legendaries known as Forces of Nature – Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus – that actually roamed the overworld due to atmospheric conditions.

In the 2012s Black and white 2It turned out that the trio was in their “Incarnate Forme” in the first game and had a new set called “Therian Formes” in the sequel. The secondary transformation changed not only the physical appearance of the mon, but also the way its statistics work in the meta.

The alternate form could be triggered by players using the Reveal Glass. The Legendaries’ ability to toggle between their two versions made them a nightmare in VGC competitions – as they became extremely powerful in their versatility. This is also what makes it so exciting that the feature is debuting in Pokemon Go.
