Have you heard the news? Extraction 2 is now streaming on Netflix! This highly-anticipated sequel to one of the most beloved Netflix original action movies premiered on June 16, 2023, and fans are already raving about it.
The movie picks up after the events of the first film and follows the story of Tyler Rake (played by Chris Hemsworth). After being left for dead in the previous movie, Tyler is rescued, healed, and now living a quiet life in a remote forest in Austria. That is until an unidentified man (played by Idris Elba) approaches him with a job offer. Tyler is hired to rescue the sister and children of his ex-wife, Mia (played by Olga Kurylenko), from a Georgia prison where they are being held against their will.
Extraction 2 is an excellent action movie that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The movie features some amazing sequences, including a 21-minute long shot where Tyler tries to lead the family to safety during a prison riot.
And the best part? Extraction 3 is already in the works on Netflix!

The Gray Man
The movie titled The Gray Man is a highly sought-after and costly production on Netflix, ranking as the fifth most viewed among the all-time Netflix Top 10. Its exceptional cast, impressive action sequences, and remarkable performances add to its allure, although the plot falls short. Nevertheless, the cast, action, and high stakes compensate for its shortcomings.
Mark Greaney’s novel inspired The Gray Man, and with 12 books in the series, the potential for Netflix is immense. The film follows the story of Sierra Six (played by Ryan Gosling), a fugitive from an ex-CIA agent, played by Chris Evans, who seeks revenge. The story is nuanced, and there is more to it than meets the eye.
It seems that Netflix is already working on The Gray Man 2. We are eagerly anticipating the continuation of the story. Without getting ahead of ourselves, it has all the elements of a new action franchise on Netflix.

Extraction premiered on April 24, 2020, with a Budget of 69 million USD. The Screenplay was done by Joe Russo and Directed by Sam Hargrave. Extraction was the top-streamed item in its debut weekend, then fell to sixth place (but third among films) in its second week. Netflix estimated about 90 million households would watch the film during its first month of release, the biggest premiere in the service’s history.
A black-market mercenary who has nothing to lose is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible.

Recently premiered on Netflix, The Mother is a gripping action movie featuring Jennifer Lopez as an assassin who is forced to surrender her newborn child and remain estranged from her daughter’s life. However, years later when her daughter’s safety is at risk, she resurfaces to protect her. This is not a comedy like some other recent action movies, but a serious film with fantastic action sequences and stunts.
While some reviews were not stellar, I highly recommend watching this movie if you’re a fan of action films. It’s definitely worth your time!
