As the first episodes of Virgin River Season 5 are now available to watch on Netflix, many viewers have one important question in their minds: Who is Mel’s father? Her sister Joey discovers that their mother had an affair with someone from Virgin River, but who could it be? It is a question that will undoubtedly be answered soon, but who might be the father of Mel?

Virgin River fans can expect two special Christmas episodes of the series on November 30th. At the end of the first ten episodes of Season 5, there is a jump to the holiday season. While Joey unpacks their mother’s Christmas decorations, she discovers a series of surprising love letters. It turns out their mother had an affair, and that man could potentially be the father of Mel.

Who is Mel’s Father in Virgin River?

In the special Christmas episodes, the focus seems to be on the question of who Mel’s father is. Of course, the answer to that question is still a mystery to us as well, but there are a few names that cannot be ruled out. Firstly, the name Doc came to mind, even though it’s hard to imagine him having both a grandson and a daughter all of a sudden.

However, there are other men in Virgin River who could very well be Mel’s father. What about Nick or Bert, for example? Or maybe it’s someone we have yet to meet. We can expect to find out more on November 30th, when the two special Christmas episodes of Virgin River are released on Netflix. However, it’s also possible that the mystery will only be solved in Season 6.
