Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 56, was left raging after being criticised in last night’s episode of Coronation Street. The outspoken personality was referenced on the soap as annoying by character Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni), who admitted his true feelings about the popular ITV star.
Who’s this impertinent little twerp????
Taking to his Instagram, the TV host shared a clip with his 1.6 million fans.
In the short video, Roy Cropper (played by David Neilson), asks Seb if he can be honest with him about something.
Checking up on the owner of Roy’s Rolls cafe, Seb asks: “Everything ok?”
Taking off his face mask, Roy says to Seb: “May I be candid with you?”

“Yeah, you can be whoever you like, as long as it’s not Piers Morgan, because he does my nut in,” Seb responded wittily.
Clearly taking offence at the one-liner, the broadcaster hit back and captioned the video: “Who’s this impertinent little twerp????” while tagging ITV’s Instagram page.
Fans of the star took to social media to share their thoughts on the reference.
On Twitter, one alerted the presenter to the fact that he had been mocked on the ITV favourite show.

Another added: “If ever there was a line that I identify with!!!! #corrie.”
However, on Instagram, fans of the star took to the comments to reassure the TV star that the reference wasn’t that bad.
“At least people are still talking about you! Time to worry when people say, ‘Piers Who?'” one wrote.

Another social media user admitted: “Funniest line in Corrie for a long time…”
Ignoring Seb’s dig at the ITV host, Roy went on to address his relationship with his niece Nina (Mollie Gallagher), before relaying some advice.
“As a rule, I actively avoid interference in my niece’s personal life. I mention this so that you understand what I’m about to say isn’t said lightly.”
Despite calling him an “increasingly positive influence” in Nina’s life, the cafe owner admitted to Seb that he was worrying he was “rushing things” with his niece.
“In what way?” Seb asked, to which Roy replied: “Well, the engagement ring comment for one thing. I make no judgement, I simply urge you not to rush things with Nina.”
Coronation Street is on ITV on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
