With a former Tesla employee, Apple is developing a ‘auto self-driving

Apple has stepped up its efforts to develop auto, hiring a former Tesla engineer who questyear sparked controversy over comments on the company’s autopilot feature.

The iPhone maker chose Christopher Moore for his team from auto self-driving.

Moore is on the front of the software, reporting to Stuart Powers, another former Tesla executive who entered in Apple late last year. Powers led the team of Tesla’s autopilot before starting in mid-2019.

The move indicates that the company is pursuing attempts to develop autonomous driving technology, a risky race with automakers like Tesla.

Moore joined a department known for its secrecy. Apple has never publicly announced its plans for auto. The head of the automotive project, name in Project Titan code, he left the company at the beginning of questyear to lead Ford’s technology efforts.
