With the NHL 20 patch, Snoop Dogg is added as a guest announcer for some reason
Someone from EA Sports has lost a bet. This is the only explanation why Snoop Dogg appears in NHL 20 both as a player and as a special guest announcer.
The latest NHL 20 title update, released Thursday, features Martha Stewart’s cooking partner on the side of James Cybulski, the play-by-play man who debuted this year. Snoop can also be found in the World of Chel online multiplayer suite, which wears a custom sweater with Long Beach, the California postal code, at the bottom. Snoop and EA go back a long way. He was the particular guest star in the commentary section of the 2018 EA Sports UFC 3, which was also developed by EA Vancouver. When Microsoft announced its backward compatibility program for Xbox 360 in 2015, Snoop called on the public to make an online petition to turn their beloved NCAA Football 14 into an Xbox One game.
Unfortunately, this did not happen, probably due to licensing and other legal matters. But I’ll never forget how Snoop at the E3 2011 is behind closed doors with his beloved USC Trojans against the Florida State Seminoles of producer Ben Haumiller. And Ben rolled up Snoop and smoked it, just like one of Snoop’s favorite crops.
