With the support of an American raid, the Somali army kills dozens of “Al-Shabaab” militants.

Military officials in Somalia announced Thursday that the military killed dozens of Al-Shabab militants in the Hiran region with support for a US air strike, citing Somali TV.

At least 100 people were killed in two simultaneous explosions against the Ministry of Education of the capital, Mogadishu, and were adopted by Al-Shabab last week.

In the details of the two explosions, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said in a statement early Sunday that 100 people were killed and another 300 injured in two car bomb explosions in front of the Ministry of Education building in the capital, Mogadishu, on Saturday.

The first auto exploded at the Ministry of Education located near a busy intersection in Mogadishu, then the second auto it exploded when ambulances arrived and citizens gathered to help the victims.

The two explosions were so powerful that the shock wave shattered nearby windows. The blood of the blast victims covered the street directly in front of the building.

The attack took place in the same place as the largest attack in Somalia in the same month of 2017.

In that attack, which killed more than 500 people, a truck bomb exploded in front of a crowded hotel in an intersection surrounded by government offices, restaurants and kiosks.
