Wounds in an Israeli attack on the coast of Syria

An Israeli air strike on Syria’s west coast yesterday morning injured two civilians, Syrian Defense Ministry said. in a note.

The statement cites a military source who said the attack targeted several poultry farms in the vicinity of the town of Hamidiya, south of Tartus.

For his part, the director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a non-governmental organization with a wide network of sources in Syria, said the bombings targeted “former animal husbandry hangar” in thearea “used by the Lebanese Hezbollah for arms transport.”

The Observatory said that “the voices of the regime’s anti-aircraft defense were not heard, as the target was sudden”.

Since the beginning of the war in Syria in 2011, Israel launched hundreds of air strikes against the sites of the Syrian army, Iranian forces and Lebanese Hezbollah, allies of the Syrian regime.

The conflict in Syria, which began with the repression of pro-democracy demonstrations, has killed about 500,000 people, destroyed the country’s infrastructure and displaced millions of people.
