Yemen calls on the international community to address Iranian expansion

On Sunday, Yemen’s Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, called on the international community to address Iranian expansion into Yemen and its threat to the security of the region and the world.

This occurred during his meeting with the French ambassador in Yemen, Jean-Marie Safa, and the French military attaché, Junaid Judeh, in the interim capital, Aden.

During the meeting, officials discussed a number of issues, the main one being the attack on vital installations by the Houthi terrorist militia, according to the official Yemeni news agency.

The meeting touched on the goal of the Houthi terrorist militia to target ports and oil installations and destabilize the security of global shipping and trade routes.

The Yemeni defense minister stressed the continuation of Iranian arms and drug smuggling in large amounts to the Houthi terrorist militia.

He also highlighted “the role played by the Yemeni Armed Forces in fighting terrorism and pursuing terrorist elements in the various liberated areas”.
