On Friday, Yemeni Army forces and the Giant’s Brigades scored major victories against the Iranian Houthi militia on various battle fronts in the south and west of Ma’rib Governorate, with direct support from the coalition aviation to uphold legitimacy.
The media center of the Yemeni army said in a statement that units of the armed forces launched a surprise attack during which they managed to free strategic positions in the northwestern front of Marib, confirming that dozens of members of the Houthi militia were killed or wounded, while a number of terrorist elements Houthis were arrested.
On the southern front, the army and resistance forces launched a large attack, during which they managed to clear large areas towards the Ma`la` Ma`rib obstacle, according to the statement.
He explained that the advance of the army and resistance is over 10 km.
The statement highlighted that the Giants’ Brigades have made new progress in several axes on the Harib front, and are close to joining forces with the army and popular resistance on the Ma’la front, amidst confusion and collapse in the ranks of the Iran Houthi Militia.
Coinciding with the battles, coalition warplanes launched a series of raids against Iranian militia fortifications, rallies and reinforcements in separate locations south of Marib, inflicting heavy casualties on them in terms of human lives and equipment.
The media center of the Yemeni army confirmed that the battles on the southern front still in course, caused countless human and material losses in the ranks of the Iranian militia, noting that dozens of Houthi bodies are still scattered in the deserts, some of which were left by the militias days ago.
