Yemen… the bodies of 7 fishermen were found days after they disappeared

On Thursday, Yemeni nationals found the bodies of 7 fishermen, from Al-Mokha district, Taiz governorate, off the coast of Hodeidah city, three days after they disappeared with their boat in Yemeni territorial waters.

And sources of the media they said six bodies were found floating off the coast of Al-Kathib area in Al-Hodeidah, and that they belong to the missing fishermen, all from Al-Mokha district.

He added that the body of the seventh fisherman was found on their overturned boat, tied with ropes, 20 nautical miles in the Al-Ari area from the fishing port of Hodeidah.

According to sources, the body of one of the missing fishermen was towed by boat to the fishing port of Hodeidah, while arrangements are being made to return the bodies of the fishermen to their hometowns.

Strong winds are believed to have capsized the boat, which was declared missing a few days ago in Al-Mokha district, and search attempts have failed.

Local sources reported that the fishermen are: Hail Ghafari, Moatasem Hamid, Ali Talib, Muhammad Ibrahim Buhairi, Faisal Buhairi, Hudhaifa Buhairi and Abdo Baqer.

There have been repeated incidents of loss and drowning of fishing boats in the territorial waters of the Red Sea, following the explosion of sea mines planted by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia, or their drowning in strong winds and high waves during in recent years, which has resulted in dozens of deaths.
